I'm Max, a software engineer by day and an AI enthusiast. I think harnessing AI productively is a potential path to sovereignty, so lately I'm teaching myself the full cycle of a product by living it: ideation, building, shipping, distribution, and growth. Those have traditionally been silos, or whole teams. I think one person can now stack them and build their own thing. That's what I'm learning to do right now.

I chose software development because it's a skill with no ceiling. I can improve at it forever. And a couple of years after I learned to code, AI entered the picture and 100x'd what I can do. I find the rapid change incredibly exciting.

Underneath the work is a mindset that comes down to compounding. Compound interest applies to every activity and behavior, not just money. Learning, fitness, relationship development, and spirituality are all practices to be committed to for life. Anything worth doing is worth doing for a long time. On a long enough time horizon, I can figure anything out. There's no substitute for time and discipline: showing up every day, for a long time, to do the work.
