Need help with Films Shelf, found a bug, or have a feature request? I’d love to hear from you.
Email contact@bbmaxwell.dev with whatever’s on your mind. I read every message personally and reply within a few days.
When reporting a bug, including your iPhone model and iOS version helps me reproduce the issue faster. If the issue involves partner sharing, mentioning whether you’re the inviter or the invitee is also useful.
Sign in to the new device with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe. Open Films Shelf → Settings → tap Restore Purchases. Your Premium entitlement should restore within a few seconds.
Shared shelves sync through iCloud. Both partners need to be signed into iCloud on iPhone, running a recent version of Films Shelf, and connected to the internet for the first sync. If both of those check out and the shelf still isn’t syncing, email contact@bbmaxwell.dev with what each side is seeing — I want to track it down.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not inside Films Shelf. On your iPhone: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Films Shelf Premium → Cancel Subscription. If you’re still inside the 30-day free trial, you can cancel there too and won’t be charged.
If you were sharing a shelf with a partner, your data lives in iCloud and should resync once you sign back in and reaccept the share. If you were solo, shelf data is stored on-device — iOS removes local data when an app is uninstalled. If a shelf went missing without an uninstall, email contact@bbmaxwell.dev with what happened.
Trailers stream from YouTube. If a trailer fails to load, it usually means the trailer was removed or made private on YouTube’s side, or your connection is offline. Try again on a different connection; if a specific film’s trailer is consistently broken, let me know which one.
