These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are the end-user license agreement that governs your use of the Ripe mobile application (the “App”). By installing or using the App you agree to these Terms.

License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with Apple’s App Store Terms of Service (including the Licensed Application End User License Agreement in Schedule A, which applies to the App).

One-time purchase

Ripe is free to download. It offers a single, non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks the App permanently on your Apple ID:

  • It is a one-time payment. It is not a subscription and does not auto-renew. There are no recurring charges.
  • The unlock is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on your other devices, or after reinstalling, using the Restore Purchases action in the App.
  • All payments are processed by Apple. We do not see or store your payment details. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s standard policies.

What Ripe shows

Ripe shows when fruits and vegetables are typically in season in US growing regions, based on public-domain USDA harvest data. This information is provided for general guidance only. Growing seasons vary year to year with weather, region, microclimate, and grower; Ripe does not guarantee that any item is actually available, ripe, or in stock near you at any given time. Ripe is not a source of food-safety, agricultural, dietary, or medical advice. Use your own judgment.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App, including not attempting to reverse engineer, resell, or commercially exploit the App or its bundled data beyond the personal license granted above.

Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its seasonal data is accurate, complete, or current.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where applicable consumer-protection law provides otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version.
